Both these tablets are now available in the market. Nexus 10 was released in November 2012 while Slate 10 in December 2013. Though they have a gap of one year in their release, let’s see which of the two stands a chance to be more favourable with the people today.
Samsung Google Nexus 10 P8110
Google has come with Android tablets that can give the likes of iPad 4 some competition. This tablet is actually manufactured by Samsung and so is designed to show off Android in the most stylish way.
Design and Display
Nexus 10 comes has a 10.5 inch screen which comes with corning gorilla glass 2 and 2560 x 1600 PLS TFT display and 200 ppi pixel density. Its rubber body may not seem very attractive in comparison to its metal bodied rivals but it is study enough and can withstand rough handling. With 263.9 x 177.6 x 8.9 mm in dimensions it weighs 603 grams.
Specifications, Camera and Battery
It is powered with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS which is upgradable to 4.4.2 KitKat, Dual Core 1.7 GHz Cortex-A15 processor and 2 GB RAM. It is available in 16/ 32 GB internal memory which is non expandable. The rear camera is 5 MP with autofocus and LED Flash while the front camera is 1.9 MP. The Battery is a non removable 9000 mAh battery.
HP Slate 10 HD
Though not the slimmest tablet in the market, the Slate 10 HD does make a good start physically having decent looks.
Design and Display
Slate 10 has 259 x 178 x 9.7 mm dimensions and weighs around 626 grams. It has a 10 inch capacitive touchscreen with 800 x 1280 pixel resolution. It has a SIM card slot, a micro SD card slot, a micro USB port for charging and data transferring. The power and volume buttons can also be found on the edges. The placement of speakers at the bottom is rather a poor choice as it blocks the noise while in use.
Specifications, Camera and Battery
It comes with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS and a 1.2 GHz dual –core processor. It has 1GB RAM and comes with 16 GB internal memory which is extendable up to 32 GB. It has a 2 MP front camera and 5 MP back camera with auto focus. The battery is non removable with a 7000 mAh power.
Overall
Samsung Google Nexus 10 is much better than HP Slate 10 HD in all aspects be it display, design, sound quality or user interface.
