Secrets for Raising a Chocobo in Final Fantasy XIV

by GH Staff

With constant routine maintenance, staff of Final Fantasy XIV continues to support thousands of players by fixing bugs and adding new content at times. As such, multimedia online (MMO)  fans will be appreciating this new  update; this latest 2.3 patch will provide new options for raising your favorite big bird that can be used for traveling or fighting as a trsuty companion.  Before mentioning the methods, some gamers may want to know how to start raising these pets.

Before obtaining these feathered creatures, players must first access the chocobo stables by completing the following requirements: (a) finish the “My Feisty Little Chocobo,” (b) join a free company which owns an estate, (c) be at least level 30, and (d) complete “Bird in Hand” quest.  To start this quest, players must speak with a non-playable character (NPC) named Luquelot; this individual will be standing in Central Shroud within these coordinates (x:20 y:21).

Afterwards, players can now acquire the needed stable, which can be purchased from any housing merchant NPC in any residential area. Once this building is placed on the estate grounds, all free company members can stable their chocobos and begin their training, but an estate can only house one chocobo stable, which is shared among members. Meaning, this building does not only cater to your personal pet but also each member’s animal. When this giant creature resides inside this unit structure, no one can mount or summon these feathered flocks into battle. Additionally, the companion menu will also be inaccessible.

Despite these unprecedented drawbacks, the species can be trained to earn experience points once per hour. Yet, these giants will also demand one of the following fruits or vegetables(acquired through gardening) as a reward for their excellent efforts: Krakka Root, Curiel Root, Sylkis Bud, Mimett Gourd, Tantalplant, Pahsana Fruit, Thavnairian Onion. With this unique feeding intake, fans may see obese birds like the ones from the PlayStation 4’s collectible edition on the horizon. Though these beings will not transform or evolve after reaching their maximum level, they may increase their rank limit by one when they are awarded a Thavnairian onion after each training session, but these swift companions cannot exceed rank 20.

Rewarding these pets with the same snack after repeated sessions will automatically label that specific meal as their favorite feed; this entry can then be used to grant beneficial effects or battle effects when these beings are summoned into battle. To change the favorite feed,  award the chocobo with different snacks. While addressing combat issues, confident gamers should also pay close attention to the living environment; these rooms will begin to accumulate dirt and grime.

Cleanliness is reflected by one of three conditions–good, fair, or poor–which can be confirmed by accessing the stable. By maintaining a good standard and condition, more experiences will accumulate. Items selected or equipment won’t influence this tight-knitted configuration. To clean these unruly places, access the “chocobo stable” interface and select Clean Stable. However, the user must possess a magick stable broom in the inventory to make use of this option.

Anyways, I hope these details will suffice your gaming necessities and bring more exciting news in your day! For more information about this game, please visit Square Enix’s official North American website for this popular title.
