Blizzard has banned “several thousand” accounts after they were caught “botting” in Hearthstone
If you have recently been thinking about joining in the wave of players “botting” Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft I suggest thinking otherwise, because the Hearthstone website has revealed that”several thousand” Hearthstone accounts have been banned till 2015 after they were found using these programs.
For those who don’t know, “botting” is a term used to describe the use of third party programs in order to automate matches for hours on end in order to gain as much in-game gold and cards as possible. Everybody who was recently caught will have their account banned till 2015, and according to the Hearthstone website “From this point on, accounts found to be cheating will be permanently closed without warning”.
The reason for this crackdown by Blizzard is because fair play is at the cornerstone of Hearthstone and by using “bots” players are breaking the games Terms of Use that they have to agree with in order to make an account.
The Hearthstone website has recently reported that Blizzard has banned “several thousand” accounts as they begin cracking down in players using third-party program’s or “bots” in order to automate games. They have also revealed that from this point on any account caught cheating will be permanently closed without warning.
