There are strong reasons to believe EA and Maxis will be revealing the exact release date at E3 2014 this year, but nothing is certain at this point.

The German version of the official Sims magazine mentioned in its April issue that their June issue that is released on June 13, a few days after E3 2014, will feature a huge cover piece regarding the Sims 4 and who knows, maybe a release date?

Even though hopes are pretty high, nothing can be officially stated at this point. However, as it is highly probable, you should set your the Sims 4 release date anticipation watches to June 9, when the official EA press conference on E3 2014 will be held, as we might just hear something new about the upcoming title in the franchise.
