EA’s The Sims 4 is still surrounded by a shroud of mystery, but we’re getting bits and pieces about the game constantly now. Even though we don’t have an official release date for the popular life simulator, we know it will be coming sometime during the fall of 2014.
The gameplay will undergo some changes, and players will be able to do simultaneous tasks, such as taking a stroll and talking. The game will require an Origins client for installation, but will not require an internet connection for play, as there will be an offline single-player mode. SIMS 4 will also bring new voice-over, so don’t worry about hearing the same dialogue over and over again. New objects and features will be implemented, such as the ability to a left-handed SIM.
Some of the activities that will be included in SIMS 4:
- Instrument playing: Violins, guitars and possibly more
- Hacking
- Cooking
- Gardening
- Painting
- Writing
- Improved WooHoo (aka intercourse) system
Since the game is still under heavy development, other elements will most likely be included. EA has stated that they are taking into account fan feedback, and the top ideas for now revolve around a better pet system, vacations and world exploration, amusement park activities or supernatural abilities.
Sims 4 can already be pre-ordered for the PC. The Digital Deluxe edition can be bought here for €69.99.
