While we at Gamer Headlines have been busy battling it out in Super Smash Bros 3DS, Nintendo has gone ahead and reminded us to warm up our Wii Us as the Super Smash Bros Wii U release date is set for North America on November 21st, and Europe on December 5th, just in time for Christmas. This UK trailer showcases the beautiful HD graphics for the game, and shows off some battles in levels exclusive to the Wii U version of this iteration of Smash Bros:
The trailer also shows off the much anticipated Amiibo along with their release dates in Europe. The first wave of the interactive toys, including Mario, Samus, Kirby, Villager, Pikachu, Wii Fit Trainer, Peach, Fox, Link, Donkey Kong, Yoshi, and Marth will be available ahead of the game on November 28th.
On December 19th the remaining Amiibo, including Diddy Kong, Little Mac, Luigi, Captain Falcon, Pit, and Zelda will be made available.
The toys will allow you to summon those characters into battle on the Wii U, and on the 3DS upon the release of New 3DS in the West in 2015. They also include a chip that will allow you to transfer information between both versions of the game.
The Gamecube controller adapter for Wii U and game bundle will also be released alongside the game in both North America and Europe.
Meanwhile, this morning Nintendo announced that Smash Bros 3DS has reached 2.8 million players worldwide:
Quite the milestone! Will you be picking up Super Smash Bros Wii U as it releases this November / December? Settle it in Smash… and the comments.
