One of today’s most popular MOBA games, SMITE, is kicking off Season 8 – dubbed Dawn of Babylon.
What to expect from the new Smite Season Pass?
Hi-Rez Studios is promising a wider, longer Babylonian Pantheon Conquest map with a completely reworked jungle area that will keep evolving over time. The pre-existing maps, on the other hand, will get various graphical enhancements to keep things visually interesting. New Gods will arrive throughout Smite Season 8 new Gods, along with accompanying Voice Packs, Wave and Clap Emotes, base, as well as Limited Recolor Skins catering to collectors. The first gods to debut will be Tiamat and Gilgamesh. With that said, don’t expect any of them at the very beginning of Season 8 as Tiamat is only expected sometime in February, and Gilgamesh will follow. One of the changes gamers can expect during this period of change is the disappearance of the variance system from ranked play. New healing rules are also on the horizon following limited testing, as Hi-Rez Studios already confirmed earlier this month.
The addition of the so-called Most Wanted Battle Pass is another novelty in Season 8. This subscription-tier benefit will allow you to unlock the Grand Magus Anubis skin and loading screen, this season’s limited reward for Battle Pass owners. But even without the pass, the launch of Season 8 will net you twice the Favor, Worshipers, and XP after each game, Tuesday through Sunday! Smite is currently available on the Xbox Series X / Series S, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Microsoft Windows, Macintosh OS.
