And we don’t mean mind-blowing in the metaphorical sense, but rather in the literal sense. Sniper Elite 3 has been confirmed for awhile now, but we’ve only been guessing about what to expect from the next member of the SE franchise.
Sniper Elite 3’s story-line and missions will take place in North Africa, during the second World War. You’ll be tasked with eliminating key targets in order to shift the tides of the war in favor of the Allies. Rebellion, the developer behind the series, has promised that players will have to make meaningful choices, and will be providing believable scenarios to achieve this. The trailer emphasizes the return of the bullet-time and bullet-tracing camera features, with an even more brutal and gory visual aspect to it.
Sniper Elite V2 received mixed reviews, and for some, this slow-motion camera seemed to break immersion or even caused frustration. It will be interesting to see how (if at all) the developers will right past wrongs, and whether or not the slow-motion effects will be subject to customization in terms of frequency and gore level.
