EA SPORTS FIFA is part of the reason for soccer rise in popularity in America, EA infograph reveals
Soccer is widely regarded as the worlds most popular sport, and over the last few years it has seen a rapid rise of popularity in America. Well according to a recent infograph revealed on EA’s Blog, soccer can thank its rise in popularity in part to EA SPORTS FIFA.
The infograph reveals that 34% of people who played a EA SPORTS FIFA game became pro soccer fans while another 50% became more interested in the sport after playing. Speaking of the game, America was the second highest sellers of FIFA 14 and that a whopping 95% of Americans who play soccer video games play EA SPORTS FIFA. In one year of playing, over 293 million matches were played, 637 million goals have been scored and players have spent 3.1 billion minutes playing FIFA.
Also American gamers has seen a 112% rise in players playing with a Major League Soccer club when you compare the first month of FIFA 15’s release to FIFA 14 first month. Finally the EA SPORTS FIFA infograph revealed that Clint Dempsey is the most popular goal scorer with players using him to score 9.6 million goals and Seattle Sounders FC is the most popular MLS club with 1.9 million players playing as them.
EA recently released an infograph that showed that EA SPORTS FIFA is part of the reason for the rise in popularity of soccer in America.
