Microsoft recently released a new marketing campaign – a ‘glitch contest’ connected with the game Titanfall. Being able to win Xbox One consoles, signed artwork and in-game content, entrees will have to solve a series of mysterious and ‘coded’ messages in a alternate reality game style.
Similar to ‘Halo’s I love bees,’ the campaign starts with a glitch in their UK TV existing Xbox One advertisment. When decoded, the binary code leads players to several existing websites, one of which is gl16790101.com. There people can find the official ToS of the promotion along with several other clues leading to its solution.

The promotion has been connected to Titanfall via several mystery images, as well as the ArchiveHammond.com site that is part of the promotion. Hammond Robotics is a company existing in the world of Titanfall. Another clue in the game leads to Pinterest board full of blossom pictures, which is a clear reference to the game’s Angel City map.
Everyone who is a current resident can participate in the promotion. The listed awards include Xbox One consoles, signed artwork, games as well as in-game content. Titanfall will be released some time this March and is currently in an on-going Alpha stage.
