Even though 343i has said they will talk about customization in The Master Chief collection soon, we still have not heard anything on the subject. But, lucky for us, a fan at Gamescom was able to capture some footage on the customization menu. The video of this can be seen below.
As you can see, we get a glimpse of Emblem customization, colors available, Player ID, Nameplate, and avatar customization. Credit to the images go to the above video and Team Beyond.
Emblems
Not all emblems are shown, but we can see emblems from Halo 4, as well as Halo 2. So, it’s likely that emblems from every game in the Master Chief Collection will be available.

Though the names for the colors are not shown, we do know what they are.

Armor
Though this doesn’t seem like much, hopefully it’s simply a placeholder for armor.
Also, this category is “Avatar”, meaning it’s possible that this is not armor, just a picture that will be under your gamercard within the Master Chief Collection lobbies, which can be seen below.
Clan Tag
Service ID
Nameplates
As you can see, Nameplates are making a return in the Master Chief Collection. The ones we see below are:
- Halo: Combat Evolved
- Halo 2
- Halo 3
- Halo 4
- UNSC
- Spartan Helmet
- Knifes
- Bullets
But, it’s not all of them, as we can see by the scroll bar.
So, what do you guys think about all of this? Does this customization look good enough to you? When do you think we’ll be getting more official information? What do you expect in terms of armor?
