Sony Actually Announced Some Vita Games!?

by GH Staff

Resident Evil, Shovel Knight, Geometry Wars 3 and more…

If you are a Vita then you now the disappointment that press conferences usually bring; the initial hype of how Sony having to show something cool for the Vita evaporating into thin air when you realise that the handheld is going to be treated like the ugly step-sister yet again.

Vita owners are aware that Sony usually leaves the Vita at home for big press conferences, this was shown at both E3 and Gamescom earlier this year, so Vita-hype was at an all time low for the Keynote speech earlier today.

Thankfully Vita owner’s prayers were finally answered with speakers such as Gio Corsi confirming that the Vita is going to have an awesome 2015.

There were a slew of Vita games announced at the conference, some 2D, some 3D and there was even a triple-A title in the mix. The full list of Vita titles announced at the conference can be seen below:

  • MLB The Show 15

  • Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions

  • Bastion

  • Shovel Knight

  • Severed (Already announced before the show)

  • Suikoden

  • Suikoden II

  • Towerfall Ascension

  • Octodad

  • Super TIME Force

  • The Banner Saga

  • Resident Evil Revelations 2

  • Broken Age The Complete Adventure

  • Day of the Tentacle

While Persona 5 looked as if it was going to be announced for the Vita, sadly it was not, but maybe someday Vita owners will get a second instalment of the Persona series.

The Vita had an excellent showing at the Keynote speech, hopefully this is a sign of good things to come for the struggling handheld. In the words of Gio Corsi: “LONG LIVE THE VITA”.

I personally am most excited for Geometry Wars 3 and Resident Evil Revelations 2, which Vita game are you most excited for? Tell us in the comments below.
