Sony has confirmed the release date for the upcoming major software update to the PlayStation 4.
On the official PlayStation twitter, a tweet was made with information on when PlayStation 4 owners will be able to upgrade their systems to the new 2.0 software update:

The new update will be released on Tuesday, October 28th and will mark the first major update for the PlayStation 4 since the system’s launch. No exact time was given as to when the update will roll out to users.
The PlayStation Blog had recently posted an entry providing great details into what features will be added in the 2.0 software update, which will include a USB Music Player, YouTube support, Themes, and more.
