Sony and Microsoft vow to Counter Next Gen Console Issues

Death by blue light” and “the doom’s disk drive” are game-finishing glitches, a headache for gamers who picked up the next-generation Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles, after their first launch, respectively.
Microsoft Corporation is willing to replace Xbox One units for users who have described systems that won’t study discs, an issue called “the disc drive with doom” publically. The company stated the problem is impacting “a very small quantity” of customers, who may also received refunds for downloadable games by Microsoft Game Studios. Sony Corporation announced that it was replacing the models for “less than one percent” of users, as their new consoles malfunctioning displayed a pulsating blue light. The problem had been given the moniker “a blue light of loss of life.”
Both glitches recall Microsoft’s “Death by red ring” when production problems prompted several predecessors of Xbox One to secure up and display 3 flashing red lights. Eventually, the technology giants provided customers with lengthy warranties of 3 years. It is said that from 2007 onwards, the companies have spent more than one billion dollars to counter problems associated with Xbox 360.
“I know these things happen, yet it sucks when these happen to you, Donald Blankinship, an Xbox enthusiast said. I can still enjoy downloadable games until a replacement arrives. Different users have reported units being completely unresponsive. Both Sony and Microsoft explained they are working to overcome such issues and are taking steps to replace broken consoles as early as possible.
While the issues seem to influence a minority of Play Station 4 and Xbox One developers, the concerns could discourage consumers who regularly enjoy games on smart phones plus mobile devices. Sony’s Play Station 4 costs $399 while Microsoft’s next gen console cost $100 in addition to price of PS 4. May be, it’s because of the Kinect sensor they added up in Xbox One.
Phil Spencer, Microsoft’s Game Studio’s Vice President said on the launching event of XBox One that quality has not been compromised while the company was manufacturing the console. Xbox One has been tested for thousands of hours to ensure the quality and to provide the gamers with something outstanding.

Microsoft and Sony have announced that more than 1 million Xbox 1 and PS4 consoles have been sold in the first 24 hours of the launch. Let’s hope the glitches are dealt soon and a smooth game play is available for fans.
