The Cosmic Staff wielding teenager Stargirl comes to Infinite Crisis next week
Friendly warning: Stargirl’s ultimate while powerful can be easily broken.
Not every superheroes backstory has to be tragic and nowhere is that more apparent then with Stargirl, whose blasting her way into Infinite Crisis next week. Stargirl aka Courtney Whitmore, one night found the costume in her new stepfathers items and decided the go to her schools dance in it to mock him.
Unfortunately for her one of her new stepfathers enemies attacks her, thinking that there’s a new Star-Spangled Kid and her stepfather saves her in a new mechanized Battle suit. Exhilarated by the battle Coutney decided to become Stargirl. and her stepfather decides to train her in the hope of getting closer to his new stepdaughter.
In the game Stargirl will be a crowd control blaster, meaning that she’s good at dealing damage to crowds of enemies and dealing sudden damage. Her passive called Family Heirlooms means that if she doesn’t take damage for a while, she’ll get a Move Speed boost till she takes damage, and her Cosmic Blast move does bonus Power Damage equal to a percentage of her opponents current health over time.
Her Q Cosmic Blast by itself sees her charging her Cosmic Staff before firing a line of cosmic energy, dealing power damage to everyone hit. Her W is called Shooting Star which sees Stargirl firing a slow moving Shooting Star at her target. The Shooting Star marks them so next time the target is visible, Stargirl will automatically fire 4 fast Shooting Stars and they deal power damage to the first enemy hit.
Her E is called Gravity Well which will cause enemies that walk in it to lose move speed and take extra damage from all of Stargirls moves. Once they leave the Gravity Well these effects will linger for a while. Stargirls Ultimate is called Energy Conversion and it binds Stargirl to her enemies. The enemy will be crippled during Energy Conversion meaning that they can’t use movement skills and they’ll take Power Damage over time, and a percentage of the Power Damage your enemies take will be converted into a shield.
