Sumthing Else Music Works, the prominent record label who have produced an extensive catalogue of official soundtracks for video games (Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel!, God of War III, Gears of War, etc.), has announced a 50% sale is now taking place on the highly regarded Halo franchise.
According to a press release issued by the record company, the sale is celebrating the 10-year anniversary of Bungie Studios’ first-person shooter title Halo 2 and the upcoming Halo: The Master Chief Collection, with a range of soundtracks from the series available including Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 3, Halo: Reach and, of course, Halo 2.
Halo 4, however, is one of the titles from the franchise not included in sale, with that particular title being the first main instalment to not be developed by Bungie, as 343 Industries, who are also developing the eagerly awaited Halo 5: Guardians, had taken the helm of the Halo universe since 2012.

With the sale scheduled to finish at the end of January 2015, the list of soundtracks on sale from the Halo franchise can be found below (all albums are $4.99, while individual tracks are $0.99):

- Halo 2 Original Soundtrack Volume Two
- Halo 3 Original Soundtrack
- Halo 3: ODST Original Soundtrack
- Halo: Reach Original Soundtrack
- Halo Legends Original Soundtrack
- Halo Wars Original Soundtrack
- Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Soundtrack
Halo: The Master Chief Collection, consisting of Halo 1-4, all DLC, every multiplayer mode and beta access to Halo 5: Guardians’ multiplayer, was announced earlier this year during Microsoft’s E3 press conference, and since then it has been confirmed that all games will be running at a consistent 60fps and 1080p — although the latter feature doesn’t apply to Halo 2.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection is scheduled for release worldwide on November 11th exclusively for Xbox One.
