Comic-Con 2014 finally gives us the Tekken 7 extended trailer
While Tekken 7 was revealed this year at EVO 14, it wasn’t it this years Comic-Con till we got to see the Tekken 7 extended trailer. Tekken 7 will be using the Unreal Engine 4.
While the original trailer was a little over one minute, the Tekken 7 extended trailer clocks in at a little over 3. The extended trailer reveals a little more about what’s going on and now we finally get to hear the full speech that Kazumi started in the original trailer.
Judging by the trailer and how Kazumi is talking about Heihachi Mishima and how dangerous he, Heihachi is going to be the main villain again for the first time since Tekken 3. Like the shorter trailer revealed Kazumi is the source of the devil gene that plagued both Kazuya and Jin, who by the way is mysteriously absent after starting that world war in Tekken 6.
Throughout the trailer Kazumi talks about how everyone Heihachi is near he hits which while true (after all this is the man who threw his son off a cliff), the clips they use are mostly from Tekken 5 and 6 where Heihachi either isn’t actually in the game or isn’t in charge anymore.
However in this extended trailer Kazumi talks about how she’s wants to be the one who kills Heihachi and is even willing to lose herself in her powers to do so because she loves him. She obviously fails because all her dialogue takes place in the past before we cut to the future where Kazuya and Heihachi are fighting it out in a volcano which ends the trailer.
Tekken 7 is set to finally answer a lot of the mystery’s surrounding the Mishima family like what happened to Jun who is confirmed to be returning in Tekken and how did Jinpachi get the devil gene when Heihachi’s wife was the source.
The Tekken 7 trailer does a good job at building up the finale to the Mishima sage and while Tekken 7 hasn’t been given a release date yet, we do know that it will be released for PC.
