Thanking Indie Developers Day 12: Konjak

by GH Staff

Passing through the second week of November, Gamer Headlines is proud to present the twelfth indie game developer! Joakim “Konjak” Sandberg and Chalk have landed in our on-going appreciation for developers and their independent self-published video games for November. Released in 2007, this free-to-play arcade game allows personal computer users to draw chalk lines across “shapes to destroy them, turn back bullets at enemies and thwart huge boss enemies by bouncing stuff back in their faces”.

This simple but short project contains up to six levels with a variety of problems. When players finish a level, they receive a rating. To acquire an endurance challenge, the users must  complete all levels with an A rating in order to unlock it. Right now, the creator has been working on other titles.

Regardless, here’s a thank you message for the active indie game developer:

“Whenever I see this game or show it to my  daughter, we smile and giggle. As a former elementary teacher, I remember seeing the old black chalkboards being filled up with colorful artworks of my precious students. Boys often drew rocket ships, but the girls created these pretty flowers. I love what this creator has done because it brought back some good memories.”

For more information, please visit the official website. To submit an entry for this event, please read this article. Remember that this showcase will end on December 1. Therefore, don’t forget to share the love for other indie game developers by using #ThanksIndieDev in twitter messages for this entire month! They’ll appreciate the warm gratitude and feel more energized!
