To show our appreciation for indie game developers, Gamer Headlines is hosting an event for this entire month to showcase and recognize 31 indie game developers and their video games. Starting today, we will post one article per a day that’s dedicated to one indie game developer as well as one game made by the company. Hence, we’re proud to present our first entry called Kentucky Route Zero.
On January 7, 2013, Cardboard Computer had released the first Act I for Kentucky Route Zero; this episodic click-and-point project is a magical realist adventure game about a secret highway in the caves beneath Kentucky, and the mysterious folks who travel it. Instead of hearing recorded voice actors, players will read the dialogues and make choices in how to carry-on the text-based conversations. Although the creators, Jake Elliott and Tamas Kemenczy, have already released three episodes, they will release Act IV and Act V sometime next year.

Here’s a thank you message from a fan!
“Thank you for creating a terrific and amazing game! That game has an atmosphere that I’ve never experienced before, as well as being beautifully appeasing with solid story telling! The most enjoyable parts are Acts I and Acts II. Hoping you guys will develop more titles just like this!”
For more information regarding this project, please visit the official website. To submit an entry for this event, please read this article. We will continue to showcase more entries from November 1 to December 1.
