Thanking Indie Developers Day Six: Cipher Prime

by GH Staff

After recognizing five indie game developers and their games, Gamer Headlines is proud to mention Cipher Prime and Fractal: Make Blooms Not War; this strategy /puzzle game has one simple objective, which is pushing hexagonal fragments together to form large hexagons and chain reactions. By forging into seven-hexagon clusters or “blooms”, the player can earn points and move on to the next level. Meanwhile, this colorful game also contains these features: three gameplay modes, campaign, arcade, and (ironically) puzzle.

Made through the Unity engine, the creator has released it on the personal computer back in 2010. Now, interested players can play it on the PC/Mac, IPad, Android, and Linux. Additionally, Cipher Prime Studios has also released “Iterate!”, which is a soothing instrumental/ techno soundtrack and the official music theme that can be purchased.

Besides the overview scope, someone has kindly shared a thank you response:

“Fractal is a simple new-form of Tetris that’s still addictive, fun and incredibly hard at higher levels, but I always welcome a good challenge. Even more, I can always switch around with the other available options for an interesting gameplay. For example, one option will involve limiting the amount of moves and more. On top of that, the game has some neat visuals, animations, and a pleasing tune. Somehow, Cipher Prime has connected me to a worth-while PC game that’s stays on my desktop.”

Don’t forget to share some love for other indie game developers by using #ThanksIndieDev in twitter messages for this month! They’ll appreciate the warm gratitude and feel more motivated!
