Mostly known for their work on The Conduit, High Voltage has chosen to bring the hotshot Marvel hero to the portable 3DS handheld system in The Amazing Spider-man 2. Alongside the official trailer that was released on Nintendo’s website, the description of the game coincides with a unique story of an elusive murderer prowling the streets of New York City unbeknownst to the adolescent superhero’s fruitless efforts to bring him to justice. To catch the criminal, Spider-man conspires with an unexpected companion, striving to bring an end to the reign of terror plaguing the metropolis before it’s too late. Nintendo offered some further insight as to the villains that’ll be prone to making an appearance on the 3DS, “from the film as well as fan-favorites, classic Marvel characters are woven together in a twisted web,” there will be a little sliver of something for just about everyone.
It’ll offer an overall free-roaming atmosphere, completed with a drizzle of web-slinging action. While battle system has yet to be fully explained, it’ll most likely mimic the action-adventure notion of its predecessors with a set of distinct combo executions. The trailer recently released to the public demonstrates a pleasant sense of fluidity that the 3DS has not seen in some time.
The Amazing Spider-man 2 for the 3DS will debut April 29, 2014. Get ready for it!
