The Transformers community has had a lot to look forward to recently with both the release of the upcoming blockbuster movie “TRANSFORMERS Age Of Extinction” as well as the recently released game “TRANSFORMERS Rise Of The Dark Spark”.
Now TRANSFORMERS has taken it’s aim at online gaming once again with the release of “TRANSFORMERS UNIVERSE” an open-brawler style game featuring a very true to their roots design and lore, this Free-To-Play Third Person Action MMO has players take control of many Autobots or Decipticons, the player must choose a Transformer, their equipment and items and then head into battle and assist in capturing either one of the three meteor drops, or the centered area depending on which game mode is selected
One thing that makes TRANSFORMERS UNIVERSE different from most free-to-play games of its style is that once your chosen Transformer has fallen in battle, you must select another Transformer Recruit from your given roster and play them until your previous Transformer has been repaired which usually takes roughly one to two minutes.
Of course each Transformer is different in one way or another, each having their own ability, weapons and roles make team play much needed in battle, not only that but each Transformer has their own dedicated Vehicle mode with alternate abilities, which I personally have to say is a lot of fun to use, as speeding into battle then transforming into attack while mid-air and landing directly in front of your opponent knocking them back from the battle gives the most joyous feeling and really feels like a true Transformers battle.
Now the game is still in it’s BETA Stage, that’s clear as a lot of performance and connection issues still occur as well as a not very well laid out explanation of the “Hub System” or Upgrades, however it is still a genuine blast to play and can even be plaid in a browser although your performance may suffer quite severally.
