Batman Arkham Knight is the fourth game in Rocksteady Studios Arkham Game Series, it is also rumored that Arkham Knight will be the “Grand Finale” to the series. Arkham Knight is set to be placed one year after the events of Arkham City, with Scarecrow returning to Gotham to unite Batman’s enemies together and finally take down “The Batman”

The previous Arkham games have had mostly positive reviews, with fans constantly wanting more of this “Gritty and Dark” Style that Rocksteady has created so well, Arkham Asylum and Arkham City have both been crowned with Game of the Year Editions and praised by fans of the series, the more recent Arkham Origins is viewed as the “Lesser” of the game series however fans still admitted to enjoying playing it, I myself found Arkham Origins to be abit of a let-down when compared to the previous Arkham Games, however I still found myself playing it hour after hour trying to get to the final scenes.

Now that Arkham Knight has been confirmed and was showcased at E3 earlier this year fans are itching to see what Rocksteady has to offer, so far what we have seen is a larger open world city that will feature the Batmobile as a drivable transport, we also saw a CGI Trailer that featured several familiar faces such as Two Face, Harley Quinn and Penguin working together against the Gotham Police Force, we also have been given images and confirmation of a new character that Rocksteady themselves have designed and built into the lore of Gotham.

So far everything sounds very hyped and very awesome, as a fan of the series though there are a few things that I myself would love to see in Arkham Knight, and I’m not alone on this, taking comments from sources like Reddit, YouTube, Twitter and Forum Posts around the internet, I have compiled a list of the top 5 features that the Arkham Fans want to see In the new Arkham Knight, so in no particular order here is the list:

Better Boss Battles: In the Arkham Games there are a lot of bosses, some main ones and some extra side mission ones that you need to find, however in Arkham Origins a lot of the boss battles where extremely repetitive and dull, the most notable one has to be the battle with Deathstroke, as the game had increased hype about Deathstroke being both an enemy and playable character, yet his battle was basically a glorified Quick Time Event repeating itself over and over, No what I want to see along with many other fans are Boss Battles that require timing and tactics like Killer Croc and Mr. Freeze, battles that keep you on edge and constantly thinking, that’s what we wanted to see.

Better Enemies: Don’t get me wrong, the enemies in Arkham games can be really tough at times especially on the harder difficulties, but what I mean is more enemy types, for the past two Arkham games there have been the standard melee guys, the gun guys, the tough guys and the fast guys, but that’s it, why can’t there be more enemies with more unique abilities just to spice those thug encounters abit more.

Better Puzzles: Aside from the Riddler Trophies and Challenges there are a rare few moments where Batman will be required to solve a puzzle to progress, most of the time this just means using “Gadget A” on “Ceiling B” and repeating this at several different points in the storyline, what I would prefer is more thought out puzzles that would require you to use an assortment of different gadgets and your own wit and quick thinking to get past.

Character Interaction: Think about it, if you had Batman swoop down onto a balcony beside you would you not want to chat for abit? In Arkham Origins there are points where you can return to the “Batcave” and have Alfred standing there to great you, but he only says around three or four lines of dialogue before repeating himself or just not talking at all! I think that if players had the chance to optionally talk to other key characters like Alfred, Barbra, Jim etc. it would really help further the lore and give people more reason to complete side missions and such.

Return Of Catwoman: Alright, when Arkham City was released, it was sold with a bonus of playing as Catwoman in the actual city, unlike the Deathstroke bonus for Arkham Origins which allowed you to play as Deathstroke only in combat training, I’ll admit I didn’t have any interest in playing as Catwoman in Arkham City when I first heard about it, but then once I got the chance to play as her my view completely changed of Arkham City, having an extra character with her own missions, story, relationships between characters and combat and exploration methods made playing as her an absolute blast and a heck load of fun! Getting the chance to jump from the tall strong and slow combat of batman and the quick, nimble and small combat style of Catwoman made the game really diverse and unique, I would love to see a playable Catwoman return in Arkham Knight or another fully animated and plot-driven character, not a bonus character to use in high-score challenge arenas
