Titanfall beta invites are scams

by GH Staff

The Titanfall beta has been confirmed officially, but no release date has been announced as of yet. Respawn is holding back for now, with the promise of an actual date coming in the next few days. However, it seems various websites have begun advertising false Titanfall beta invites, and Respawn officials warn players that these are scams and have no connection to the actual game or the company.

Considering Matthew Everett is the official EA Community Manager responsible for Titanfall, you’d be wise to follow his advice. The entire beta frenzy for Titanfall began with a French retailer leaking some information about a 14th of February beta event (which might actually be the correct date for the event). This, combined with private invites from Respawn for a closed beta and leaked footage emerging thereafter cause quite a stir in the gaming community, and fans of Titanfall are eagerly waiting for a chance to blow some mechs to bits. Vince Zampella was forced to respond, and Respawn co-founder revealed that there will indeed be an upcoming beta for Titanfall, but only for the PC and Xbox One versions (no Xbox 360, unfortunately), and that more information will be revealed in the “coming days”. For more information, make sure you check out our Titanfall beta coverage, where we also detail the production of the Xbox 360 version, handled by Bluepoint Games.

For now, we’re left with the wait. In any case, make sure you protect your privacy and valuable data and don’t fall into the trap that multiple questionable websites are luring you into. There’s no Titanfall beta yet! When concrete evidence of a beta event will be revealed, we’ll be sure to let you know!
