Respawn Entertainment released the PC requirements for Titanfall, one of the most anticipated FPS games of the year. While the minimum requirements aren’t exceedingly high, it’s important to note that Titanfall doesn’t seem to support 32-bit operating systems, or anything older than Windows 7. This is fairly bad news for Vista or XP users, and will most likely force many to opt for a 64-bit operating system in order to play Titanfall free of errors and major issues. Here are Titanfall’s minimum requirements:
- 64-bit Windows 7, 8, 8.1
- AMD Athlon X2 2.8GHz or Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz
- 4GB RAM
- 512MB VRAM, Radeon HD 4770 or GeForce 8800GT
Obviously, running the game fluently at maxed-out details, 1920×1080 resolution and at 60 FPS will require a lot more than that. Still, the requirements are reasonable enough, apart from the operating system limitations. In addition, Respawn’s co-founder Vince Zampella was asked about a possible Mac release for Titanfall on twitter, and he was kind enough to respond:
@Curse_Dedo_LV talking about it, would like to see it happen. Would have to be after launch.

Currently, Titanfall will be released for the Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC, and it’s doubtful it will ever be ported to the Playstation consoles, given that Microsoft is centering its Xbox One marketing campaign around this game. Set to release on the 11th of March in the US and on the 14th in Europe, Titanfall will most likely be a success. The reasoning behind this statement is the fact that Respawn is formed out of former Infinity Ward members, and we all know how IW’s Call of Duty franchise is doing financially. The wait is almost over, so if your PC isn’t up for the task of running Titanfall, you’d best hurry up and upgrade.
