Titanfall’s first DLC expansion introduces 3 new maps and the latest trailer released by Respawn Entertainment gives us a look at all of them. The first and most unique map is Swampland, a vast jungle with tall trees and swamp-like areas that introduce a whole new way to wall run and explore the environment. The second map is Runoff, an industrial complex that is very similar to the other maps in Titanfall, so players will feel right at home with this type of design. Finally, the map War Games places an even bigger emphasis on wall running as it thrusts players into a virtual environment filled with corridors and walls that greatly benefit agile pilots. The Expedition DLC will drop for Xbox One and PC later this month, but has been delayed for the Xbox 360 version and will be released for it sometime in June. The reason for this is explained by one of the developers, courtesy of International Business Times:
“Updates for the Xbox 360 will naturally follow behind similar updates for the PC and Xbox One. This timing difference is due to the same reasons that more time was needed to finish ‘Titanfall’ for the Xbox 360.
“Respawn must first finish their additions and improvements for the Xbox One and PC, and afterwards Bluepoint can then grab the latest and update the Xbox 360 version. We’re working with Respawn and Bluepoint to streamline the process and close the gap, allowing Xbox 360 updates to be published as closely as possible to Respawn’s updates.”
If you own a 360, you will have to wait longer each time for DLC it seems, but hopefully the wait won’t be too long.
