Titanfall’s producer Drew McCoy responded to fans on Twitter after inquiring for fan feedback regarding the recently launched game. He mentioned that Respawn Entertainment is working on improving the matchmaking for public lobbies but they’re also working on adding a private match option for players who want to face their friends. This feature was sorely lacking from the game when it launched and it’s much sought after by many fans and critics alike. McCoy also hints at the possibilities of new game modes but stresses that different player counts might not be done, as he says: “Any change, especially player count, is a huge deal for a tightly designed game like this.”
Other improvements that the Respawn team are working on include improving general performance and increasing the 60fps cap on PC. As for the Xbox One’s 792p resolution, McCoy asks us to not hold our breaths for it being changed, though previously Respawn’s lead engineer Richard Baker explained that it’s being experimented on. McCoy does assure us that the mobile companion app that didn’t launch with the game’s release will be coming soon. Respawn is hard at work with making sure their newly launched game is running smoothly, especially regarding the game’s connectivity on both PC and Xbox One.
