Titanfall Xbox 360 Version Delayed To April 8 To Give Devs ‘More Time’

by GH Staff

Originally planned for March 25 2014, EA announced that the Xbox 360 version of Titanfall has now been delayed to April 8 in North America and April 11 in Europe. EA executive vice president Patrick Soderlund claims that they’re “giving Bluepoint a little more time” and also confirms that “The game will feature the same 6v6 gameplay, maps, modes, weapons and Burn Cards as the Xbox One and PC versions of the game.” However, nowhere in his post does he make mention of the final resolution or frames per second, so this remains unknown at the moment. Recent reports suggested that the Xbox 360 version runs at 30fps and sub-720p resolution and perhaps the game is being delayed to work on these issues, if they were true. The actual reason for the delay isn’t explicitly mentioned, so everyone is free to speculate as to why this is occurring.

Game delays are nothing new and it tends to happen when the developer or publisher feels that the game is unfinished. Fans are sure to be disappointed, especially if they had been waiting patiently for the original release date which was pushed back from the release date of the Xbox One and PC versions. Titanfall’s current versions have been well received by critics and fans alike, but Respawn Entertainment has some work to do to root out cheaters and hackers. What do you think of this delay? Let us know in the comments. Titanfall is available now for Xbox One and PC.
