We’re closing in to the big day that is the 11th of March, the launch date for the highly anticipated Titanfall. As Titanfall is Microsoft’s flagship title for the Q1-Q2 season, a bundle with and Xbox One isn’t really a surprising concept. It wasn’t supposed to be announced until the 25th of February however. But, in an industry that thrives on leaks, what’s one day, right? The news was leaked by Australian website Stevivor, but has since been edited after Microsoft stepped up. “We were given information that apparently was under embargo, though that embargo date was not communicated until after we’d posted the news. Speaking to our sources, we’ve decided that community and goodwill are more important than taking advantage of an unfortunate situation purely to break a story.” now states the website.
Still, what was once seen cannot be unseen. Microsoft will indeed be launching a bundle pack that contains an Xbox One, a Kinect 2.0, one wireless controller, a wireless headset and a digital copy of Titanfall, with a month of Xbox Live Gold included. The best part? It’s supposed to be priced like a regular Xbox One, meaning $499. This has not been officially confirmed by Microsoft yet, and will be most likely clarified tomorrow, but if the deal is indeed a reality, it will do a great deal to boost Microsoft’s next-gen console sales. The Titanfall bundle seems to actually be a good deal, and should please those consumers that were initially put off by the steep price of the Xbox One.
Worth mentioning is the fact that this is NOT the Titanfall-themed Xbox One or controller. It’s a regular Xbox One (black), that happens to come with the game at a more accessible price. Does the bundle seem like a good deal? Are you planning on picking up and playing Titanfall?
