Titanfall’s beta won’t be US only

by GH Staff

Titanfall is generally considered to be among the most anticipated titles launching this year, so it comes as no surprise that the entire gaming community is eagerly anticipating the official announcement for the beta stage. Among pressing concerns, some fans were worried that Titanfall’s beta will be limited to the US, or certain platforms. Vince Zampella, co-founder of Respawn Entertainment was quick to respond to the issue:

So, wherever you are, you’ll most likely have an equal opportunity to get into the beta testing stage for Titanfall. The bad news is that the invites will be somewhat limited, and while Respawn is aiming for a large batch of beta invites to go out, not everyone will get in.

Titanfall is set to release in a month’s time, and we’re still skeptical about how well the servers will handle the (most likely large) influx of players. With no open-beta to date, Titanfall has yet to go through the bombardment of concurrent log-ins that will most likely come in March. The skepticism comes mainly from the launch of a similarly-anticipated title last year, mainly Battlefield 4, a launch that didn’t go smoothly at all. Granted, Titanfall will not feature as many players in one single game as Battlefield 4 does, but server stability is still a question that’s not answered to this point, and the delays of the beta stage are reasons enough for concern.

In any case, the Titanfall beta will most likely be announced today or in the upcoming days. In case you’re wondering what exactly you’ll need to get in, you’ll be pleased to know that no certain criteria needs to be met for access. All you’ll need is a PC or an Xbox One, and you’re good to go.

What do you think? Will Titanfall succeed where Battlefield 4 failed? Do you expect a smooth launch? And most importantly, are you excited about a chance to finally test Titanfall?
