Both Microsoft and Sony gave us details about their next gen consoles, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and of course, their list of exclusive video games titles dedicated to each of these two consoles.
Yet, despite the turmoil surrounding the new consoles, the stars of the conference remained the video games themselves. And the titles that impressed us most will be featured in the list below.
RYSE: SON OF ROME
(Crytek/Microsoft)
Xbox One
For a long time now, Microsoft sought to publish a game able to compete with Kratos, the latest title from the God of War series. It seems that their answer is Ryse: Son of Rome, a title developed by Crytek exclusively for Xbox One, in which players will have the opportunity to fill the shows of the Roman general Marius Titus. The exceptional graphics are delivered by the grace of the latest CryEngine.

THE CREW
(Ivory Tower/Ubisoft)
PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4
Ubisoft sais “hi” to the new generation of consoles with The Crew, a new racing game developed in collaboration with Ivory Tower (a team of veterans who worked on the Test Drive Unlimited series). Some of The Crew’s strong points are the advanced options for customizing the cars and the huge world map from the game. Moreover, the players will be able to get organized and form teams in order to solve tasks together.
Release date: First trimester of 2014
THIEF
(Eidos Montreal/Square Enix)
PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4
Our long lost friend, the thief Garrett, will return into this reboot of the Thief series, developed by Eidos Montreal (the highly acclaimed authors of Deus Ex: Human Revolution). Stealth games lovers will have the opportunity to relive the experience offered by the Thief, this time accompanied by a modern graphical presentation. The game was designed to meet the requirements of the next generation consoles.

NEED FOR SPEED: RIVALS

PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3
Need for Speed fans were not forgotten this year either, as EA Games planned a new title for them, NFS: Rivals. The game was developed by a young team from Ghost Games. While the gameplay is similar to all the games in the series, Rival will be powered by a new graphical engine, Frostbite 3. Incidentally, this was the main reason NFS: Rivals was included on this list: the graphics beyond expectations.

TITANFALL
(Respawn Entertainment/Electronic Arts)
PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360
Respawn Entertainment is comprised of veterans from the former Infinity Ward team, and this is reflected fully in their last title, Titanfall. What we are dealing with here is a multiplayer shooter that tries to combine the fluent gameplay in Call of Duty with elements of parkour. The result looks explosive and Titanfall, one of the most promising multiplayer games of the next year.

THE WITCHER 3: WILD HUNT

PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is perhaps the perfect game to exemplify the possibilities that future consoles and PC gaming will bring: a huge game environment created with an amazing attention to details, three different stories, complex RPG gameplay, a redesigned combat system and no less than 36 possible endings. Geralt of Rivia had never looked better.
