A nameless hero found himself in a place from the border of dream and nightmare. He doesn’t remember his name nor where he came from. Travelling through different lands he tries to uncover the truth behind himself and the strange world around him.
Polish studio Oh Noo! has gifted steam users with a beautifully designed horror art point-and-click adventure game Tormentum, which has been given the green light by the steam community and has released its first playable demo . The demo is a short taste of the 4-6 hours of game play we can expect upon full release this fall.
The game starts off with the hero waking up from a dream and finding himself locked in a metal cage. The cage is suspended by a chain from a sizable flying machine which seems to be headed in an unknown direction. The only memory the hero is able to summon is a faint vision of a hill with a sculpture on top. Oddly enough, the sculpture depicted a forest of human hands, raised towards the sky. If only he was able to find the place then maybe his memory would return as well.
Tormentum has a dream-like atmosphere that really draws you into the beautiful detail of its art and story. As the protagonist your fate has been written, but you must survive as your amnesia challenges you to find your way through a dark and dangerous world to change your fate.
The guys over at Oh Noo! have done a fantastic job with this game but work is still to be done, their Indiegogo campaign has 13 days left to reach their goal of $9,000 USD. For $9 you will receive the game on Steam at release so be sure to keep an eye out for this title, so if you’re interested in dwelling in a world where the line between dreams and reality is gone be sure to donate and get behind this great title.
