Creative Assembly, the developers of the highly praised Total War series, are continuously working to improve and to add to their most recent title Total War: Rome 2. After a series of updates, an announcement was made, declaring a new DLC named Hannibal at the Gates. The DLC features a new campaign mode, similar to the Caesar in Gaul addon. The players will be able to explore the Western Mediterranean part of Europe, right in the middle of the outbreak of the Punic Wars.
The main two factions of Rome and Carthage will benefit from an array of new units, commanded by two of the most famous generals in ancient history: Hannibal of Carthage and Scipio of Rome. The DLC will also feature a new diplomatic tech tree and some new minor factions like Syacuse, the Arevaci and the Lusitani.
Fans of the game will be also happy the know that a new update will be hitting the game around the same time for all owners of the base game of Total War: Rome 2. Details on the update are still under wraps, but players are hoping the developers will finally focus on fixing the still broken siege A.I. Total War: Rome 2: Hannibal at the Gates DLC is already available for pre-order from Steam. Gamers that pre-purcase now will get a 10% discount. The offer ends on March 27th.
