On September 23, 2014, a thirty second video was uploaded onto Youtube to show the Japanese television commercial for the upcoming New Nintendo 3DS; this handheld console will be released on October 11 in Japan. However, this handheld gaming system will have to compete with the upcoming transparent 2DS for the Pokemon ORAS bundle. To avoid future confrontation and increase potential sales, Nintendo has began airing the first TV spot for Nintendo 3DS with this footage.
In these scenes, the updated handheld will feature a new “Super-Stable 3D” function and other major components. For one, prospective buyers will gain a “C-stick” that will come in handy in some video games. Secondly, it also has NFC compatibility and a faster CPU. However, having the changeable cover plates will make this portable device more personal.
Despite providing this overview, will handheld owners buy another brand new Nintendo 3DS? Will these folks trade them in for a discount price? Or, do these interested spectators desire the transparent look for the Pokemon ORAS bundle?
As a quick reminder, the revamp Nintendo 3DS will arrive in Japanese retail stores on October 11, but no confirmation has been released for a Western release in North America or Europe.
