Humble Bundle doubles as both a charitable organization, and a phenomenal place to find deals on digital games. As the name suggests, Humble Bundle offers a collection of titles that can be purchased for the low price of “pay-what-you-want”….as long as that amount is over $1. Along with the consumer-set pricing model, customers also have the option of choosing how their contributions are divided; the money given by each purchase can go towards featured charities, the developers of the selected games, and/or Humble Bundle themselves.
As the popularity of Humble Bundle has grown, the organization has created several new services outside of their main collections. Originally, only one bundle was featured at a time, with each being in a timed-rotation; each bundle would usually last for 10 days. Humble Bundle has since added the Steam-price-matching Humble Store, and an additional weekly sale, properly titled as “Humble Weekly Sale“. The current sale features a base collection of 4 titles from publisher and developer SEGA.
Those who pay the minimum amount of $1 will get digital copies of Alpha Protocol, Company of Heroes, Rome: Total War, and Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit. By paying more than the average contribution ($5.99 at the time of this article), buyers will receive an additional 5 games; The Typing of The Dead: Overkill, Binary Domain, Renegade Ops, Medieval II: Total War, and 10 Classic SEGA Genesis Games (Altered Beast, Comix Zone, Crack Down, Ecco the Dolphin, Gain Ground, Golden Axe, Golden Axe 2, Golden Axe 3, Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master and Vectorman). Total War: Shogun 2 is also included for those who pay more than $14.99.
As with Humble Bundle tradition, all games are distributed through their website after purchase, and are delivered DRM-free. Each title includes a Steam Activation Key for those who want a few games to add into their Steam Library. While most deals include multi-OS versions of the games, everything within the SEGA Humble Weekly Sale is Windows-only.
Other deals running on the Humble Bundle site include the “Devolver Double Debut“, which features Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition, Shadow Warrior Classic Redux, and a few films published by Devolver Digital, and “Humble Mobile Bundle 4”, which includes such Android games as Catan and Zombie Gunship.
