Uncharted 4 is the Primary Focus for Naughty Dog, Everything Else ‘On Ice’

by GH Staff

Naughty Dog has recently clarified that all of their attention is currently focused on Uncharted 4, and that all other projects that were in development are now on hold.

Speaking with Game Informer, Naughty Dog director Bruce Straley went on to say that all development is “110 percent in Uncharted 4 territory now. Blinders on, make this awesome.”

Straley also went on to say that The Last of Us 2 is being discussed, but has not yet been fully realized at the moment:

“We have brainstormed sequel ideas for The Last of Us, and we’ve brainstormed ideas for new games, but all of that is put on ice right now while we work on Uncharted 4.”

Naughty Dog has approached past titles in a similar fashion by focusing on one idea at a time before moving on to the next project, which is evident by the time gap between the releases of the first three Uncharted titles and The Last of Us.

Fans will have to wait some time before Naughty Dog announces their follow up project to Uncharted 4, but for now we can all look forward to the release of Uncharted 4: A Theif’s End at some point in 2015 exclusively on PlayStation 4.
