Updated Facebook Messenger Allows Drawing on Photos

The updated Facebook Messenger application has been the topic of many discussions. This is a pretty new idea because the app now allows its users to draw on photos before sharing them to their friends and family. Before jumping in and using this new Facebook update, let’s see what this late night boredom killer can do exactly.

The messaging app hasn’t proven yet that it’s the best way of communicating with friends after it forced its users to download the app if they want to still be able to send messages on Facebook. It did fight back and what it offered was its Android Wear support and its popups in the application telling users not to worry about downloading the Messenger app. Now, what else should Facebook users should know about the update made on the Messenger app?

How to Draw on Photos

Of course, the question that follows after understanding what the updated Facebook Messenger offer is how to draw on photos? Doodling and adding texts on images is simple. All you need to do is choose the icon of the image that you can see in the bottom control row and take it to the photo reel. Then you would just add the text to the photo. If you want to draw on it then choose the pen icon and activate the inner artist in you to share silly, fun and nice photos to your friends with your personal touch in them.

What to Keep in Mind

The updated Facebook Messenger will not allow editing on pictures that are taken using the ‘selfie cam’ of the app. If you’ve tried using the messenger app’s selfie cam before, you know that the reason why your photo cannot be edited is because it’s immediately sent after it has been taken. The developers of Facebook are hoping that changes will be made in the future to allow more things for users to do with their photos taken using the selfie cam.

Another thing to keep in mind is that the user controls of the Facebook Messenger app do not offer an eraser with it so make sure that you don’t mess up when writing or drawing something on a photo. If you really need to make corrections on what you’ve done, there is an undo button which you can press but it will remove everything that you’ve done so far and not just the last few steps that you did.

The updated Facebook Messenger is just the beginning of the more features that the developers are planning to offer to its users. If you want to bring out the inner artist in you or you just want something fun to do during your boredom sessions, give this update a try today!
