Video Game Releases for the Week of 12/22/2014

by GH Staff

Ah, the Holidays. It’s a moment of joy and wonder with our friends and families, but it is also a time where there aren’t a whole lot of video games releasing throughout that time period. Unfortunately, this week’s line-up only features digital titles that are mostly ports to other systems, so there isn’t anything significantly interesting to keep an eye out for. Nonetheless, enjoy the following list of games releasing throughout the week of December 22, and have a happy holiday everyone!

Note: All of the dates and prices listed below are for North American territories. Also, keep in mind that this list is subject to change with new games potentially announced or launching this week without notice.

Thursday December 25, 2014:

  • Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse

Originally released two months ago on the 3DS, WayForward’s Action Platformer, Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse, is finally launching on Wii U with unlockable modes, other endings, and Wii U Pro and Classic Controller Pro controller support. We thought the third installment in the Shantae franchise was outstanding, praising it for its thoughtful level design, impeccable sound and great visuals.
