[dropcap size=dropcap]T[/dropcap]elltale Games announced through the official blog that the second season of the video game The Walking Dead will start this month. Our journey into the horrors of the zombie apocalypse also featured in AMC’s TV series will begin with „All that remains”, the first chapter of the season 2. Moreover, we found out that the season will feature 5 episodes (chapters), same as the previous season.
The official Telltale Games blog also gave us a glimpse into the future of the game, by posting a screenshots featuring the character Clementine which will be available as a playable character throughout the second season. The story will develop sometime after the events of the first series. According to Dan Conners, CEO at Telltale Games, the second season will put “players in the shoes of a lead role that will challenge their expectations of how to survive in a world where no one can be trusted”. While the first episode of the season is due to be released during this month, the next four episodes will be launched at four to six weeks apart.
Those who are waiting impatiently for the official launch, may preoder The Walking Dead Season 2 for PC and Mac through Steam, at a price of 20,69 Euros. The game will also be released for all other popular gaming platforms such as Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, and the iOS powered devices.

The post apocalyptic universe of The Walking Dead has became increasingly popular in the last years, after the comic novel was adapted into a TV series produced and distributed by AMC. It was no surprise therefore that the adventure video game will also become popular, even though it was released several years after the TV series. The echoes of the franchise success also reached to Activision, who released a first person shooter video game inspired by the events of the TV series. Their interpretation, The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct has been released on March, 26, 2013, for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC and NintendoWiiU.
