Warframe’s Iceblade of Narin update is live now, introducing Narin, the 66th Warframe, as a Sword Dancer Warframe who uses ice to defend and strike. Developer Digital Extremes released the update on September 23, 2026 through a Steam Community announcement. The update expands the free-to-play action game with a new social hub, a Banshee rework, new collections, and a return to the Zariman. Narin, signature weapons, and Yuvan Peak
Narin is the first ice-themed female Warframe. Digital Extremes describes her as wielding ice to defend as deftly as her swift rapier strikes. Her signature weapons are the Nunchasa Bow and the Aksondol Dual Pistol. Players who want the full package can pick up the Narin Warframe Bundle on Steam.
The update also opens Yuvan Peak, a new social hub on Earth. The mountain summit sits on the dark side of Earth and holds secrets to unravel. In addition, players are sent back to the Zariman to battle Entropic Eximus enemies.
Banshee rework and new collections
The Banshee rework is included in Iceblade of Narin. Any player who logs in before October 7 receives a free base Banshee Warframe regardless of Mastery Rank, along with a free built Forma. Two new Collections are available in the in-game Market. The Banshee Threnodia Collection and the Qorvex Basilica Collection feature skins and other customizations.
The release follows Digital Extremes’ recent Warframe content drops, including Warframe’s Jade Shadows update. The free Banshee login reward also mirrors the cadence of a previous Warframe content update, though this giveaway has no Mastery Rank requirement.
Glacial Defiance delayed for polish
The experimental 6-player “Glacial Defiance” game mode was held back a few weeks after launch. Digital Extremes said the reason is to make the co-op side objectives stronger and more team-based, plus fixes and polish. Its release is likely between September 23 and October 15. The mode is expected to arrive as a follow-up rather than part of the initial Iceblade of Narin launch. The gameplay trailer features voiceover from Choi Han.
