Nintendo has revealed the list of new downloadable titles and sales on its North American 3DS and Wii U eShops for the week of October 2, 2014. As you can notice, because Super Smash Bros. 3DS releases tomorrow, there are not a lot of games coming out on the eShop this week.
On the 3DS eShop:
- Color Zen (Free Demo)
A demo for Cypronia’s colorful Puzzle game, Color Zen, is now available for free on the eShop starting this week. You’ll be able to try out some of the game’s color-matching puzzles as well as enjoy some tracks off Steve Woodzell’s composed soundtrack.
- Super Smash Bros. 3DS ($39.99)
After months of anticipation, Super Smash Bros. is finally heading to the Nintendo 3DS handheld this week. Featuring over 40 characters, a vast array of modes and customization, Smash for 3DS has the potential of being one of the best games of the year, and the definitive fighting experience on-the-go. Take note that, to save time, you can already download the free 1.0.2 game update via the eShop in advance as it is required for the online mode.
- Tenkai Knights Brave Battle ($29.99)
In this side-scrolling Action-Adventure title, you must stop the Vilius and his army from shifting robots and destroying the worlds as the Tenkai Knights. The game supports up to four player multiplayer, which means that you and your friends will be able to control Bravenwolf, Tributon, Lydendor, and Valorn. Take note that Tenkai Knights Brave Battle will release on October 7.
On the Wii U eShop:
- 99Seconds ($2.49)
99Seconds is the sequel to 99Bullets from EnjoyUpGames. It’s a retro-style game where you must avoid the dangers of the levels. It features leaderboards, 60 frames per second and 1080p visuals, 5 player Arcade and Survival mode, and off-TV play.
- Red Riding Hood ($1.00)
Based on the popular tale of the same name, Red Riding Hood is a journey where you must choose different paths that will affect the flow of the story. You’ll be able to enjoy the game’s amusing dialogue, breathtaking visuals and immersive audio experience by exploring the exciting world of Red Riding Hood.
On the Wii U Virtual Console:
- Castlevania: Dracula X ($7.99)
As Richter Belmont, the legendary Vampire Killer, you must save Annette Renard, your love, and her sister Maria from the evil hands of Dracula’s minions. Play through the seven stages to reach Count Dracula and eliminate him once and for all.
And finally, eShop sales:
- Poker Dice Solitaire Future (Wii U)
This title is now 30 percent off until October 30 on the Wii U eShop, making it $0.69 instead of $0.99.
- Just Dance Kids 2014 (Wii U)
Starting October 6, this Dancing game will now cost $19.99 instead of $29.99 on the Wii U eShop.
- Jett Rocket II: The Wrath of Taikai (3DS)
This game is now more than 30 percent off until October 23 on the 3DS eShop, making it $5.99 instead of $8.99.
- Tappingo (3DS)
This Puzzle game is now more than 30 percent off until October 16 on the 3DS eShop, making it $1.99 instead of $2.99.
