Nintendo has revealed the list of new downloadable titles and sales on its North American 3DS and Wii U eShops for the week of October 23, 2014. This week’s line-up features a lot of eShop titles that touch on various genres. Here’s the list of the digital content highlights releasing on Nintendo’s digital distribution platform within the next seven days.
On the 3DS eShop:
- Big Hero 6: Battle in the Bay ($29.99)
Set after the events of the film, you play as the robotic prodigy Hiro Harmada and his friends as they attempt to save the city of San Fransokyo from a battlebot invasion. Launching on October 28, Battle in the Bay promises some action-packed platforming fun.
- Castle Conqueror EX ($3.99)
In this Real-Time Strategy game, you must lead your soldiers into battle to overthrow the Empire’s Castle as four different heroes. Featuring new levels remade for the EX version of Castle Conqueror, you’ll be able to play through the 50 levels the game has to offer and battle your enemies to see who is the best.
- Fantasy Life ($39.99)
Start a new virtual life in your fantasy world by creating your own adventure inside Fantasy Life. The crafting possibilities and upgrades are limitless, and will definitely help shape up your adventure. Fantasy Life launches on the 3DS eShop on October 24.
- KORG DSN-12 ($37.00)
Create your own music compositions with the KORG DSN-12 software, which has 12 different monophonic synthesizers. Become a DJ with your 3DS by creating your own powerful sounds and shaping songs out of them.
- Pokémon Art Academy ($29.99)
Like drawing and Pokémon? Well, Pokémon Art Academy is the perfect game for you. With the game’s 40 educational lessons, you’ll be able to learn how to draw various Pokémon and share them via Miiverse. Additionally, when you purchase Pokémon Art Academy on the 3DS eShop, you’ll receive a download code for the Pokémon Alpha Sapphire & Omega Ruby Special Demo while code supplies last. Pokémon Art Academy launches on October 24.
- Power Rangers: Super Megaforce ($29.99)
The Rangers are back and, this time, they must take on the Ruthless Prince Vekar who wants to conquer Earth. Thankfully, with the Rangers’ Morphing Powers and Keys, you’ll be able to gain access to different powers and weapons to successfully stop Vekar. The game launches on October 28.
- Secret Journeys: Cities of the World ($4.99)
As you explore the backgrounds of Venise, Mumbai, Beijing, and much more, you’ll have to discover the 1000 hidden objects that are scattered all around the environments. You’ll be able to enjoy this fun Seek and Find gameplay with a Casual mode and a Timed mode.
- Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse ($19.99)
As a belly-dancing genie named Shantae, you must explore diverse lands and labyrinths to recover the shards of genie magic scattered across Sequin Land to defeat Risky Boots, her arch nemesis. You can check out our review for Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse right here.
- The Legend of Korra: A New Era Begins ($29.99)
Based on the popular anime of the same name, you’ll be able to master the four elements as Korra as she tries to stop and ancient evil from unbalancing the worlds. It launches on October 28.
- Magical Diary: Secrets Sharing ($4.99)
Create your own personal diary with many stickers, spells, fonts, colors, emoji, etc. Then, you’ll be able to share it with your friends over the Internet and see eachother’s creations. Magical Diary: Secrets Sharing is also available on the DSiWare.
On the Wii U eShop:
- Bayonetta & Bayonetta 2 ($59.99)
The witch hunts aren’t over yet with Bayonetta 2 hitting the Wii U this Friday. Immerse yourself in this action-packed over-the-top Third-Person hack and slash experience that features some of the most ridiculous set pieces you’ll ever see in a video game. Additionally, the original Bayonetta is also launching on the Wii eShop at the same time and, whether you buy the first game or the sequel, the total of both games will be set at $59.98.
- Just Dance 2015 ($39.99)
The number one dancing game on the planet is back, courtesy of Ubisoft, with its 2015 edition. Just Dance 2015 features 43 new tracks from artists such as Pharrell Williams, Maroon 5 and Rihanna, and a brand new mode titled Dance Challenger Mode.
- The Voice: I Want You ($39.90)
Based on the popular reality TV series, The Voice: I Want You promises the same excitement as the show to your living room as you’ll go through the same steps as the real-life contestants to become the Voice. It features songs from Rihanna, Sara Bareilles OneRepublic, and much more.
On the 3DS Virtual Console:
There are no new games on the 3DS Virtual Console this week.
On the Wii U Virtual Console:
- Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow ($7.99)
Following a new protagonist named Soma Cruz, you must escape from the castle you were mysterious awoken in. You’ll have to explore various labyrinths, defeat creatures and, most importantly, use the Tactical Soul system to activate new powers as you re-experience this 11- year old GBA game.
And finally, eShop sales:
- Sweet Memories: Black Jack (3DS)
This title is 30 percent off until November 6 on the 3DS eShop, making it $2.79 instead of $3.99.
- Wakedas (3DS)
This game is 30 percent off until November 6 on the 3DS eShop, making it $1.99 instead of $2.99.
