The Mobile World Congress 2014 is just a week away. Starting February 24 and ending on February 27, the world’s largest exhibition will feature multiple press conference meetings from famous mobile brands, including Samsung, Nokia, LG, HTC and more. Even though, the congress will feature the expose of devices from multiple manufacturers, the upcoming unveiling of the new Samsung Galaxy line seems to be the most anticipated event of the event. But what exactly enthusiast can expect to be unveiled?
Samsung Galaxy S5
Although there were multiple rumors that the Samsung Galaxy S5 will be presented at the Mobile World Congress 2014, it wasn’t until Samsung started sending out invitations for the event, until it became certain that the new smartphone from the line will be unveiled this month. This was not officially stated, but the creative “Unpacked 5” theme of the invitation makes it pretty obvious that a new smartphone will be announced.
Nothing about the specifications of the mobile device have been officially revealed as well, but certain sources state that the Samsung Galaxy S5 will feature a 1440×2560 resolution screen, 5 to 5.2 inch size screen and new touchwiz.
Additions to the Samsung Galaxy Core Line
As Samsung are known for announcing more than just one device at their press conferences, it is almost certain that they will do the same at the Mobile World Congress 2014. A week earlier on February 7th, a leakage of information showed that the mobile device manufacturer has passed certain trademarks through the Federal Communications Commission.
Nothing is certain about the new devices except their names. The existing Samsung Galaxy Core has both a Dual-SIM model that was released in May 2014 and a single SIM version released in July 2013. Similar to the Samsung Galaxy SII, the main selling point of the device is the usage of two SIM cards simultaneously.
The other trademarks that passed through the FCC were a new Samsung Galaxy Ace Style, Samsung Astro, which should be a tablet and Flybell. Nothing is certain, but some enthusiasts suggest that the Samsung Flybell may resemble the Applesque iBeacon that allows devices in close range to talk to each other via Bluetooth.
