Blizzard have announced on their World of Warcraft website that a brand new feature in the upcoming Warlords of Draenor 6.0 patch will be the ability to ‘undelete’ a character. So if you end up deleting a character for whatever reason and want them back, now you can with this new feature. However, there are some rules to what you can restore and when. A quote from the Blizzard post reads:
‘Characters under level 10 and Death Knights at level 55 are not eligible to be undeleted.
Characters between level 10 and level 29 will no longer be recoverable after 90 days.
Characters between level 30 and 49 will no longer be recoverable after 120 days.
All other characters level 50 and above are eligible to be undeleted at any time.
Please keep in mind you will only be able to use the undelete option once every 30 days.’
Blizzard also announced that when you delete a character, their name will be saved for a small period of time, so if you decide to restore them back from the grave, they will return with their name intact. One rule with this is if you use the deleted characters name on another character and then restore the old character, he will have to be renamed. When you restore a character, they will return with all of their items, gems and enchantments unscathed. If you would like to read the full blog post, you can check it out by clicking this link.
World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor will be releasing on November 13th. The 6.0 patch will be releasing before the expansion releases. However, the date is unknown. You can already download the 6.0 patch in the background while you play World of Warcraft so expect the 6.0 patch to release soon, and with that, the ability to undelete your characters.
What do you think of the ability to undelete your characters? Do you think it’s a good feature? Let me know in the comments section below.
