Worst Bugs And Issues Found On Windows 10 So Far

by GH Staff

It has been nearly a fortnight since Windows dropped the Windows 10 Technical Preview. Since then over one million have already signed up to the Windows Insider Program to try out the new operating system from Windows.

Windows 10 is currently being used on 64 percent of the signed up users PCs while the other 36 percent are using their virtual machine to run the new OS. Microsoft reports that, over 68 percent of those that are using the preview have over seven applications launching per day. Additionally, just around a quarter percent are launching 26 applications per day, and are using the preview as their main operating system.

While 7 percent of the rest of the users want to check out the new features of the OS, they are barely using the new Windows 10.
Microsoft has received a lot of feedback from users. The news is that Microsoft still will have to work on quite a few errors, issues, and bugs that have been found by testers before they officially launch the operating system.

There is a list of requests, along with the reported bugs, mostly on what the users would like to be done to the OS. The top request has been to make the search buttons and the task view movable. In the left corner at the bottom are new buttons that display the task bar to the right of the Windows logo. At the moment, Microsoft doesn’t plan to move the buttons, even though the new users haven’t taken this.

Adding tabs to the explorer is also another top requested from the users. This is not anything new for Microsoft, as users have been requesting this for years, and Microsoft hasn’t yielded. So for the new OS, you likely won’t be seeing this either.

A good top request from users is to see a beautiful boot screen overall, and yes they are serious. While we know this might be strange, but it is something that has been highly requested. The boot menu is the menu that comes up when you have installed multiple OS and want to choose which one to run. Maybe Microsoft will give it to users.

Another top 10 requested from users is desktop configuration. Many users want the ability to set wallpaper differently to each of their virtual desktops that come along with the various icons and shortcuts. While I have no qualms about this, users can only have different applications and nothing else.

Missing from the new OS is Aero Glass, which has been a request as well. Windows Vista, first featured Aero Glass, and it was very popular with users. However, fans of Aero Glass will be highly disappointed that is not included in the new OS.

What do you think Microsoft should change?
