Update: Big Show is the latest WWE superstar to confirm that he’s in WWE Immortals’ roster, as he tweeted an image of his character’s appearance (and he looks pretty angry, if I do say so myself).

Original story: WWE Immortals, a free-to-play mobile title announced last year, has received an official release date.

Developed by NetherRealm Studios and Phosphor Game Studios, WWE Immortals is scheduled to launch on January 15th, 2015 for iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad and Android devices, according to the title’s official Facebook page.

The release date was posted alongside a full-sized image (see below) of the recently revealed WWE superstar/actor John Cena for WWE Immortals — an earlier image didn’t reveal his entire attire — with a caption saying, “Protecting the Cenation…1.15.15.”

Meanwhile, three new characters have been added to WWE Immortals’ roster, which includes the Irish wrestler Sheamus and The Bella Twins.

Sheamus, real name Stephen Farrelly, has been designed in the image to look like a barbarian, while the outfits for The Bella Twins — Brie and Nikki — make them share an uncanny resemblance with Mortal Kombat’s Mileena and Kitana.

With the inclusion of Sheamus and The Bella Twins, WWE Immortals’ roster has had six character revealed so far, with John Cena, The Rock and Brock Lesnar confirmed in the same month (December 2014) that the title was announced by publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.
