With the release of the new Minecraft Xbox 360 update, many gamers, old and new alike, expect more features than bug fixes unlike the update released a few months ago. These features are confirmed recently as the TU12 became available via Xbox Live.

Speculations have been found on the web about the introduction of Mash-up or Texture Packs in the current update, but 4J Studios announced that the said feature is still not available because of legal issues.
Many Features
Aside from the new tutorial world and Jungle Biome, the Minecraft Xbox 360 update proves to have the most feature changes in the update history of the game. Here are some of the features that you’ll get after updating your game to TU12:
- Double doors can now work properly with the use of Redstone.
- Snow golems melt and die in the Nether biomes, like what usually happens to them in Dessert biomes.
- You can create up to 40 boats in a world.
- Dessert wells become very rare in Dessert biomes.
- There is a change with the sound effects used for lava. Bottom particles have a rumbling sound and the particles on top have a popping sound.
- When you craft ladders, it creates 3 instead of 2 ladders.
- When it comes to non-hostile mobs like villagers, baby villagers will be created if there is enough room in the village.
The Minecraft Xbox 360 update also features smarter AI for non-hostile and hostile mobs in the game. With this, you can expect more difficult encounters with zombies and skeletons. If you’re playing the hard mode, zombies that attack villages can already break down doors. Since the new update reoriented zombie sieges, that only happens during nighttime, crafting torches and lighting fixtures in the game are very important.
Easier World Creation
World creation seems to be a lot easier with the addition of the favorites tab in the skin selector menu in the game. With this, you can store recently used skins that you use very often. There’s no need to take some more time to browse your inventory to look for the items you frequently use.
The update is already available once you start up the game. If you can’t get automatic updates, re-downloading the game can help you get the updated release. Of course, never include your saved games when you try to delete and re-download the game. You can also browse Xbox Live for the update.
