Xbox Game Pass will remove 10 games from its library on September 15, with Cyberpunk 2077, Dead Cells, Spiritfarer, and Frostpunk 2 among the departures. Microsoft confirmed the date and full platform breakdown in its official September Wave 1 update on Xbox Wire.
The official list contains 10 titles. Eight are scheduled to leave the cloud, console, and PC catalogs together, while Cyberpunk 2077 is listed for cloud and console and Frostpunk 2 is listed for PC. Those platform labels matter because the removal notice does not apply to every version in exactly the same way.
All 10 Xbox Game Pass games leaving September 15
Microsoft’s departure list is:
- Commandos: Origins — cloud, console, and PC
- Cricket 24 — cloud, console, and PC
- Cyberpunk 2077 — cloud and console
- Dead Cells — cloud, console, and PC
- Deep Rock Galactic Survivor — cloud, console, and PC
- Frostpunk 2 — PC
- Mullet Madjack — cloud, console, and PC
- Spiritfarer — cloud, console, and PC
- Superliminal — cloud, console, and PC
- Train Sim World 5 — cloud, console, and PC
The shared September 15 date gives subscribers one clear deadline to track, but the platform-specific entries should be checked carefully. Cyberpunk 2077 is not listed as a PC departure in this notice, while Frostpunk 2 is not listed under cloud or console. The remaining eight games are marked for all three catalog categories.
Cyberpunk 2077 leads a varied departure list
The group covers several very different kinds of games. Cyberpunk 2077 is the highest-profile name, but the list also includes the action roguelike Dead Cells, the management survival game Frostpunk 2, the co-op mining spin-off Deep Rock Galactic Survivor, and the narrative adventure Spiritfarer.
Strategy players also have Commandos: Origins, while puzzle fans may want to prioritize Superliminal. Mullet Madjack and Cricket 24 broaden the list further, and Train Sim World 5 rounds out the catalog change. Microsoft did not rank the departures or identify one as more important than another; all 10 appear under the same “Leaving September 15” section.
What subscribers should check before September 15
Xbox Wire tells players to save on the games before they leave, but the announcement does not provide individual discount percentages or a precise removal time for each title. Subscribers who want to keep playing should therefore open the relevant store listing and verify the current purchase terms for their region and platform rather than assuming every version has the same offer.
Players with an unfinished game should also confirm that the edition they use matches the platform named in the notice. The cloud, console, and PC labels are explicit, and the two exceptions make a quick platform check especially useful for Cyberpunk 2077 and Frostpunk 2.
September’s additions and removals are separate decisions
The removals sit alongside a broader month of Game Pass additions. GamerHeadlines previously covered the confirmed Xbox Game Pass September 2026 lineup, while this new official update supplies the September 15 departure list. A game joining the service and a different game leaving it are separate catalog changes, so players should not treat the additions list as a replacement schedule for any particular departing title.
This is also a different removal event from the five Xbox Game Pass games that left at the end of August. For the current batch, September 15 is the date to remember, and the official count is 10.
