Minecraft is an extremely popular game. It has touched millions upon millions of people, regardless of platform preference. And when speaking about platforms, Minecraft is present a great variety of them. Still, a PS4 version of Minecraft is missing, so fans of the game are wondering when they can pick Minecraft up for Sony’s next-gen console. Well, Minecraft PS4 is linked to Minecraft’s Title Update 14, referred to as TU14. The update will bring a variety of new features and improvements to the game, including the anvil interface, which allows players to greatly customize items and combine them.
There’s some waiting to be done for the Title Update 14 though, which means the PS4 version of Minecraft will take some time to arrive too. Mojang, the developer studio behind Minecraft is not handling this update or the Minecraft PS4 version of the game, the development being handled by 4J Studios instead. While hard at work, 4J Studios still has its work cut out for the coming weeks, so it’s reasonable to assume that both the TU14 and Minecraft PS4 will be coming sometime early in the summer (possibly June).

4J’s activity suggests a few weeks of development are still needed on the projects, after which the Title Update and the PS4 version of Minecraft will head into advanced internal testing. There are a lot of aspects to consider and address, so the wait is probably justified and worthwhile. Still, come early summer, gamers everywhere will be able to enjoy Minecraft on the Playstation 4, something we are really looking forward to.
