Eleventh Hour Games published new details for Season 5: Rage of the Frostborn in its Hype Week Day 2 announcement, covering Merchant’s Guild and Circle of Fortune changes ahead of the October 1 launch.
Merchant’s Guild Bazaar and Pricing Changes
The Bazaar UI now combines searching and listing in a single interface. Selecting an item to list applies quick filters for similar items. Affix filtering changes include a “# of T7s” filter that ignores sealed affixes and a new “# of T6s” filter for stepping stone exalts. The affix picker adds groups with optional match counts across all, any, prefixes, suffixes, non-sealed, and sealed categories.
Item pricing now suggests prices based on actual sales of items sharing key attributes such as Legendary Potential or exalted affixes. Automatic price lowering can reduce a listed item by a chosen value hourly, daily, or weekly until a set floor price. Buyers can also purchase from any stall by swapping the stall view directly in the UI.
Black Market tokens will no longer gate item purchases behind ranks. Ranking up now unlocks purchases of item bags such as keys, shards, glyphs, and runes with favor and gold, with costs escalating by rarity.
Circle of Fortune Prophecy Rework
The Observatory has been rebuilt. Prophecy rerolling is removed. Players select the exact reward they want, and it automatically charges and repeatedly fulfills as favor is gained. Lenses, unlocked for the entire stash once purchased, can modify charge rate, item drops, or reward details such as affixes or Legendary Potential.
The four telescope slots are Mesembria at Rank 1, Dysis at Rank 3, Eos at Rank 6, and Arctus at Rank 9. Each slot holds one reward and one lens, and all Prophecies auto-charge. Objectives involve defeating Rift Beasts or activating Shrines, defeating Nemesis or opening Lost Caches, defeating Exiled Mages or Timeline Bosses, and defeating Omens or Fateweavers. Completed objectives consume banked charges to drop rewards, with extra charges dropping rewards multiple times.
Charge rates are tuned to be similar to the old favor cost. Some reward types upgrade into better variants at higher ranks, like rare rewards replaced by exalted rewards. New reward types include Rune of Havoc, Rune of Redemption, Experimental items, Harbinger bases, and Champion items. The Lens of Tyranny doubles charge rate by consuming excess favor. The Lens of Origin and Lens of Finality increase prefix or suffix tier. The Lens of Curiosity compresses Unique reward weighting, making common Uniques less likely and rare Uniques more likely.
The refreshed item faction experience arrives October 1. Day 3 of Hype Week will reveal three new skills. The studio has also outlined its First Blood race to mark the season launch.
